As you may have seen on our Facebook page, Northfields CEO Richard Palfreeman, is cycling 230 miles from London to Paris with 25 other cyclists and a 4-strong support crew to raise money for FamilyLife
, a charity which helps strengthen families. What a challenge! Especially as the weather was absolutely scorching yesterday. We made Richard promise to give us updates over the next 5 days, so there will be a few of these posts.
Day 1 (yesterday) saw the group cycle from London to Dorset. The day began with high drama, with Richard managing to have a broken bike valve before they’d even set off.
Richard: “as usual, I’m doing nothing useful.”
The rest of the day went pretty swimmingly, with the brave cyclists battling through the heat, and pedalling like they’ve never pedalled before to get to their first hostel in Dorset.
If you’d like to sponsor Richard towards his £3000 target, you can do so via his Just Giving page
. Each and every donation is greatly appreciated – thank you!
Keep your eyes peeled for further updates…
