Euro 2016: Northfields’ pub guide

10 Jun 2016

The UEFA Euros 2016 have well and truly begun, and we’re getting into the spirit of things with our very own competition

If you are an Ealing, Acton, or Shepherd’s Bush resident, then visit our competition page and fill in a short online form and you could win yourself a case of French wine!

We’re pretty excited about the football, so as well as our competition we’ve also put together a West London pub guide of some of the places recommended by our team members. You never know, you might even bump into one of us there…

Northfields’ Euro 2016 West London Pub Guide

The Forester

Winners of the Ealing pub of the year 2014 and just a short walk from our Northfields Road office, The Forester has a great menu cooked freshly by chefs, and are all about creating an atmosphere second-best only to being in France for the actual matches.

The Plough

Also just a short walk from our Northfields Road branch, The Plough is a  family-friendly pub showing sport on the big screen. If it’s nice weather, you can even sit outside and watch.

The Station House

Just around the corner from Churchfields Road, The Station House was originally the station ticket hall! They serve real ale and real cider, as well as a gorgeous menu specialising in Southern Italian tapas and artisan pizzas. This is a really lovely pub if you’re looking for somewhere a little bit different to watch the football.

The Eagle

If you’re looking to watch the Euros in a bit of country style, then The Eagle on Askew Road is a great place to do it. The pub has an amazing beer garden with its own bar and BBQ, and also offers real ale, modern wines, and a menu of seasonal British food cooked fresh.

Pitshanger Lane

The Village Inn

A stone’s throw away from our Pitshanger Lane office, The Village Inn is an ‘authentic British pub with a metropolitan edge’, an excellent place to sit and cheer on your team with a pint of real ale – they have quite the selection!

The North Star

This pub had humble beginnings as a beer shop, but hasn’t forgotten its roots with a huge selection of beers to choose from. The quaint frontage and the vibrant community make it ideal for watching the Euros , but it’s very popular and advisable to book if you want to guarantee yourself the best spot!
