You might ask yourself why this renaissance has taken place and why now – Much as in the early days of the new railway lines by the Great Western Railway opening up new living space in the suburbs in the 1850s, Ealing’s fortunes are once again being influenced by a transport revolution – Crossrail. The effect of the £15.7 billion Crossrail project can already be seen despite the fact that full service will not run until 2019.
The area already has second to none transport links. There are three tube lines in the borough, Central, District and the Piccadilly Line, alongside this you’ll find the train stations Ealing Broadway, West Ealing, Hanwell, Drayton Green, Castle Bar Park, South Greenford serving Heathrow, Paddington and Central London, not forgetting easy access to the Brentford train services all the way to Waterloo. For drivers, the A/M40, A4 and the North Circular can connect you with the rest of London and the country.
It follows that the area has seen a further uplift in property prices in as much as up to 60% in some areas and neighbourhoods, largely due to future developments and will see continued investment by government, the council and most of all, by all who live and work in this beautiful park-rich borough.
