What’s on in Ealing?

What’s on in Ealing?

I hope that you are all enjoying your Summer and getting the most out of the events happening all over Ealing, Northfields, Shepherd’s Bush, Pitshanger, Acton and all of the West London areas around us.  I thought it would be good to put a list together of some events I have spotted in the area, coming up soon, but it would be great to hear of any others and I will post them on our social media platforms, which reach a lot of local people.

PITSHANGER PICTURES

This takes place at St Barnabus Church every Monday, Wednesday & Saturday during term time but this week (until Sunday) they have a Mozart Open Festival.  In fact this is organised by one of our vendors, who is selling his house at the moment, so if you’re thinking of buying a house in the Ealing area, take a look here and kill 2 birds with one stone!

THE LITTLE CREATIVE THEATRE SCHOOL

They are running a creative workshop ‘Summertime Fundango’, now that does sound like fun!  This is at North Ealing Primary School for 5-12 year olds.  Budding creatives will be stretching their imaginations, creating their very own story which they will then bring to life!  Acting, singing, dancing, making costumes and props, with the big finale at the end – the world premiere of their show to friends and family!

PITSHANGER PARK

Until the end of August there are lots of activities you can sign up for at Pitshanger Park, the tennis camp is for all ages from 3 to 16.  You don’t even need to own a tennis racket, everything can be supplied.  Or how about netball?  Whatever your age or ability, you’ll enjoy their fun and friendly programme led by qualified coaches!Or for everyone, how about getting fit?  There is a 5k run every Saturday morning which is FREE to enter (not sure anyone wants to pay to run) but you meet at the entrance at 8.50am.  Good luck if you go to that one!

OSTERLEY PARK & HOUSE, ISLEWORTH

They have an outdoor performance of the Wind in the Willows on until this Sunday 19th August from 11.30pm – 12.30pm or 2.30pm to 3.30pm.  Full of high jinks, adventure and camaraderie, see this classic English countryside tale brought to life with an array of truly unforgettable characters, including the impulsive Toad, good-natured Mole, wise Ratty and reclusive Badger.  The audience will be encouraged to explore Osterley’s beautiful gardens as part of this promenade performance. Watch the story unfold, ably led by a talented cast of actor-musicians.  Tickets required so click the link to book as there are still seats available (at time of press).

BRENTFORD FESTIVAL AT BLONDIN PARK

Sunday 2nd September 2018 12.00pm – 6.00pm.  This popular event is free to enter and is a community engagement day for all the family – enjoy some sun in the park on the last weekend before the school term begins.  The first Brentford Festival took place in 2005 and has grown into a major community event in West London with visitors growing from 3,000 to over 10,000. This year they have live music, food, classic vehicle displays and local craft stalls.

THE LOG CABIN FAMILY FUN DAY

8th September from 12-5pm.  Children’s games and entertainment, a bouncy castle, food and drink.  This is our Northfields Estate Agency chosen charity and we support their fundraising throughout the year.  At the moment they are still looking for volunteers to help with the Fun Day, so if you can spare some time, please click the link and let them know.  All assistance is much appreciated.

SECRET CINEMA

As the name suggests, it is a secret, but a little bird told me that it is being held in our Ealing area this year and the theme is Romeo & Juliet, so if you like cinema, like getting dressed up, eating, drinking and acting, check out the Secret Cinema link for updates on future events.  From what we have heard it’s the PLACE TO BE SEEN!

Whatever you decide to do this Summer, have fun, be safe and let us know how you get on!
