Come celebrate Christmas at our Festive #EalingHour Tweetup Tues Dec 2, 2014

25 Nov 2014

Following on from the success of our first ever #EalingHourLive Tweetup in September, we've joined forces with Ealing Business Forum to host a Christmas get-together in Ealing.

Christmas Ealing Hour Tweetup

Every Tuesday between 8-9pm we host #EalingHour on Twitter – an online community event where anyone with an interest in Ealing and a Twitter account can get involved.  Find out more about how #EalingHour works and how you can take part by clicking the link.

On the first Tuesday of every month Ealing Business Forum meets – Ealing businesses get together to share knowledge and support each other.  Led by Geoff Langston, Director of, the Ealing Business Forum meetings are free to join and attend.

Since #EalingHour and Ealing Business Forum are both all about supporting people in Ealing we thought it would be great to host a joint Christmas party.

Who can come to the #EalingHour Christmas Tweetup

We are regularly joined by Ealing businesses, charities, churches, journalists, politicians and residents on #EalingHour and all are welcome to come to the our Christmas even.  We chat about what is important to the community in Ealing and we support each other.  Even if you don't own a business or don't currently use Twitter but have a passion for Ealing – please come along.

Christmas Ealing Hour Live

I've had a bit of fun making our group photo from the last #EalingHourLive tweetup a bit festive – I hope everyone will forgive the liberal use of silly Christmas hats. Those are purely optional on December 2nd!

Let’s Tweetup

As hosts of #EalingHour we love giving back to our community and getting to know the locals even better.  Now we’d like to host a get-together so #EalingHour tweeters can meet in person.

What will happen at the Tweetup?

The tweetup is primarily a social event.  We chat, we joke, we get to know each other.

Northfields and Ealing Business Forum will be providing wine, beer, mince pies and cake.  Vintage girl group,

The Buttercups will once again be entertaining us with their vocal stylings (not to be missed) this time with festive twist.  Here is a little taster of The Buttercups from our last #EalingHour tweetup:

So that's free food and drink, entertainment and great people.  What more could you want?

The where and when

When: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014

What time: 7-9pm (yes, that’s during our normal #EalingHour time, so bring your smartphone or tablet and live-tweet the event! – we have wifi!)

Where: our Northfield Avenue office, 130-132 Northfield Avenue, Ealing, W13 9RT

Who can come?

If you are an Ealing based tweeter or Ealing based business, feel free to come along.  Even if you don't currently use Twitter you are still welcome to join in and you don't have to own a business.  A lot of local residents and charities are involved with #EalingHour so you might just meet some like-minded individuals.

Christmas colleen

RSVP to Colleen Babcock, Marketing Manager at Northfields and host of #EalingHour

Make sure to RSVP by emailing me.  We’re providing free nibbles and drinks so it’s necessary that you let me know you’ll be attending so we make sure to have enough for everyone.

Sharing is caring

If you have an Ealing based business, feel free to bring along samples of your products or coupons or leaflets about your services.  If you have a charity or community event you’d like to publicise please bring some leaflets.

If it’s appropriate, you might be able to demonstrate your services at the Tweetup (just please email me with details of what you’d like to do to see if we can accommodate the amount of space you require). For example, if you do massage, you might offer some “taster” hand massages on the night.

Another way to share is to pass this invitation on to other Ealing Tweeters! Use the hashtag #ealinghourlive to share the event!

Any ideas for the event?

If you have any ideas for the Tweetup or want to demonstrate your service or provide samples, please make sure to email me or tweet us @northfieldslive.
