The pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam room are great for soaking those tired muscles or you can also take advantage of the treatment rooms for massage or sports therapy. You can also relax in the lounge/bar area and chat to a personal trainer about your own fitness goals. Virgin Active is located in the Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre and with its crèche is going to particularly appeal to parents. With a pool that is perfect for laps, classes and a fitness room, this gym has all the basics to make sure you get fit and stay that way. Personal trainers can also tailor a workout for you and wifi in the gym will make sure you stay connected while you sweat.
The Park Club – @the_park_club Acton
The Park Club is an exclusive fitness and lifestyle centre set in 27 acres of grounds. With 18 tennis courts, an outdoor heated pool open year round, personal trainers, studio classes and gym there is plenty to keep adults fit and entertained. Kids can enjoy the Ofsted approved crèche as well as their own sports and fitness classes. The bar and restaurant at the Park Club make it as social hotspot. This is the full service, family-centred prestige option.

Bodyline Studios - @bodylinestudios Ealing Broadway
If you are one of those people who join a gym and then give up by February, maybe you should consider a slightly different option – Bodyline Personal Training Suite. In a free 30 minute personal training session, Bodyline fitness will look at your general health and fitness and sets goals with you. You are then left to decide if you’d like to book personal training sessions. There are no joining fees or memberships – you just choose if you’d like to books sessions of 4, 8 or 12 sessions. No more excuses then.

The Gym – @thegymgroup West Ealing
(No, you are not going mad, there is no sound on this video – this is a no frills gym after all!)
If one of your other New Year’s resolutions is to watch your pennies then The Gym in West Ealing might be your ideal option. This no frills gym is very basic – you go in, you sweat, you get out. The perks at this gym are limited but then the price reflects that – with no joining fees and no contracts. There is free parking however, it is open 24 hours and there are studio classes. It does what it says on the tin.
